Responsible pet owners make the decision to spay or neuter their pet. The U.S. suffers from an overpopulation crisis resulting in and estimated 6-8 million homeless animals entering our animal shelters every year. Approximately half of these animals are adopted with the remaining euthanized solely due to lack of space. Most are healthy, loving animals that would have made wonderful family members. If this weren’t reason enough, studies show that neutered male dogs live 18% longer lives than un-neutered dogs! For spayed female dogs this number jumps to 23%! Curbing bad behavior and the long term vet care savings are also known factors. For more information please visit: http://www.humanesociety.org

K9 Mill Rescue rescued more than 300+ mill dogs in the first year! Most were purebred dogs including: Shiba Inu, Yorshire Terrier, Pug, Laborador Retriever, Chihuahua, Maltese, Pomeranian, Rottweiler, Basset Hound, English Bulldog, Jack Russell Terrier, Bichon Frise, White German Shepherd, Brussels Griffon, Italian Greyhound, Dachshund, Shih Tzu, Cocker Spaniel, Poodle and Shetland Sheepdog. As an all-breed rescue we can not predict where our dogs will come from or even when they will arrive. If you see a pup of interest, please apply! We need loving, compassionate homes wanting to show a mill dog about life! Rescued pets make forever devoted, loving family members!
Our Ultimate Goal
To find loving, lifetime homes or Placement Partner Rescues for all breeding dogs in need!
K9 Mill Rescue (K9MR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the Dallas/Ft Worth area of Texas and surrounding states. We are dedicated to rescuing breeding dogs that are being retired, downsized, shut down or simply unwanted. We are an all-breed rescue and accept breeding dogs, regardless of age, health condition or level of neglect. K9MR dogs all live in volunteer foster homes for socialization and vetting before becoming available for adoption to the public. K9MR partners with other 501(c)(3) organizations when additional resources are needed for placement and/or vetting of dogs in need.
Our vision is to serve as a halfway house where each of our beloved dogs can rest and recuperate from vet care and neglect prior to being placed with a foster, permanent family or rescue and moving on in their lives.
To end the suffering of breeding dogs through rescue, rehabilitation and education.
